The St. Joseph Worker Program is a one-year volunteer experience for women who are passionate about social change and personal transformation. St. Joseph Workers (SJWs) commit to delving deeply into the core values of justice, leadership, spirituality, and living simply in an intentional community.

The St. Joseph Worker Program is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Since 1650, these women have followed the Gospel call to make known God’s love in the midst of the world. Their life together leads them to work for social justice and to “love and serve God and neighbor without distinction.” As our mission communicates, the St. Joseph Worker Program empowers women committed to social change to respond to the needs of the times.
